My research explores the role of Indigenous organizations and support workers in facilitating Indian Residential School (IRS) Survivors’ access to the Independent Assessment Process (IAP), an out-of-court, compensatory process meant to address the serious harms of IRS.

This project will contribute to our understanding of the key role of intermediary organizations and actors in bridging Survivors’ access to compensation and the settler-colonial state's tools of justice.
